Henry County manufacturer Nilit America joins Virginia export-growth cohort

Henry County manufacturer Nilit America has joined the latest cohort of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership's Virginia Leaders in Export Trade program, placing the company in a two-year state-backed effort to expand international sales.

VEDP announced the July cohort on July 23, 2026. Nilit America was one of 13 companies entering VALET, which provides export-plan development, market research, international business meetings and access to experienced trade-service providers. The program currently has 53 participating companies, while 14 companies graduated from the latest class.

For Henry County, the announcement is a useful business-growth signal beyond a single hiring figure. Export expansion can give an established manufacturer more customers and markets without requiring a relocation, and it can strengthen the local supplier, logistics and skilled-production base that supports industrial employment.

Henry County manufacturers considering international growth can review Export Virginia resources and contact VEDP's International Trade team to determine whether VALET or another export service fits their stage of growth. Nilit America's cohort entry does not announce new local jobs or a capital project; the practical watch now is whether the company reports new markets, contracts or workforce needs.
