The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public to find a missing man: 55-year-old Anthony Taylor of Rustburg.

On Sept. 27, deputies were contacted after personal belongings believed to belong to Taylor were found near a hiking trail in the Camp Hydaway and Candler's Mountain area. Deputies searched about two miles of trails with a K-9 but did not locate him. Investigators say Taylor had recently been staying in the wooded area near Camp Hydaway and Candler's Mountain, and family members have not had contact with him for about two to three weeks, prompting concern for his welfare.

Anyone who has recently seen Taylor, particularly in the Candler's Mountain, Camp Hydaway or surrounding trail areas, or who has information about his whereabouts, is asked to call the Campbell County Sheriff's Office at (434) 332-9580.
