Update - — Police went knocking at eight massage businesses across Roanoke County Monday morning, and investigators also took their search to a home in Daleville as part of an investigation into suspected illicit massage parlors.

Roanoke County Police said the investigation began following complaints from citizens. Around 10 a.m. on October 12, officers executed search warrants at eight locations throughout the county.

The businesses named by police were:

Relaxing Choice Spa — 5346 Peters Creek Road

Red Apple Asian Massage — 8201 Williamson Road

Summer Body Work — 7307 Williamson Road, Suite B

Best Spa — 6429 Williamson Road

YJN — 2155 Electric Road

Sunny Spa — 3652 Brambleton Avenue

Amazing Body Works — 3212 Brambleton Avenue

Angel Massage — 3109 Brambleton Avenue

The investigation didn't stop at the county line. With assistance from the Botetourt County Sheriff's Office, authorities also served a search warrant at a residence on Island Green Road in Daleville.

Items related to the search warrant were seized from the residence, police said.

For now, investigators have not released details about what was seized at the eight businesses, whether any arrests have been made, or what charges may follow.

One thing is clear: following complaints from residents, authorities are now examining multiple businesses across the county as the investigation continues.
