A fourth-grade student at Pilot Elementary got a surprise Friday when his older brother returned home from the Army and reunited with him at school.

Gabrum Baker had not seen his older brother, Najarious, in more than a year, according to the family. Both of Gabrum's older siblings are serving in the military, and their absence has been difficult for him, his family said.

When Najarious was given a few days of leave from the Army, he wanted to use some of that time to see his younger brother. After their parents contacted the school, Pilot Elementary staff helped organize the surprise reunion.
