It wasn't just about handing out awards — there was some community business being discussed, too!

Ridgeway Mayor Craig O'Der, Henry County Supervisor Chris Lawless, and Virginia House of Delegates member Eric Phillips were on hand for the MHC Boys & Girls Club Awards Show at Chatmoss Country Club in Henry County.

The gathering brought together community leaders and supporters to recognize the work and accomplishments connected to the Boys & Girls Club.

But between the awards and the applause, the three local leaders also took time to discuss community strategy and ideas for moving the region forward.

Three different levels of local and state leadership, one table, and plenty of Southside Virginia issues to talk about.

Awards were handed out, conversations were had, and hopefully a few good ideas made it out of the room!
