Rockingham confirms no-charge disposal week logistics for April 20-25

Rockingham County says its annual No Charge Disposal Week will run April 20-25, 2026, allowing county residents to dispose of regular household waste at no landfill charge during the published window.

The county notice lists operating hours as 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday at the Rockingham County Landfill.

Officials note residents must provide proof of county residency, loads are subject to inspection, and fees can still apply for materials outside the waiver scope. The notice also states covered loads are required under North Carolina law.

For the Reidsville-Rockingham corridor, this is a practical pre-window operations alert for households and cleanup groups planning spring disposal runs.
