Rockingham County schedules Citizens Night community operations showcase for May 14

Rockingham County announced on April 7, 2026 that it will host a countywide Citizens Night event on May 14 to connect residents with local-government departments and service teams.

County organizers say the program includes public-safety and service-truck demonstrations, a cruise-in, food vendors, and department-level information booths designed to improve public understanding of county operations.

For Reidsville and corridor communities, the event is a practical civic-engagement notice tied to how residents access county services and interact with emergency and infrastructure teams.

The county described the event as a first-of-its-kind format and is encouraging families, local groups, and vehicle participants to register ahead of the evening program.
