Drivers in the Reidsville-Eden corridor are being advised to plan alternate routes ahead of a Boone Road closure tied to a long-duration roundabout project.
NCDOT said in a release published April 16, 2026 that the Boone Road segment near the intersection with Bridge Street and Washington Street is scheduled to close at 9 a.m. on April 27, 2026, weather permitting.
The department said the closure is expected to run into late July and is part of a broader construction timeline with additional traffic shifts likely as work progresses toward a projected late-2027 completion.
For Reidsville and Eden commuters, the agency recommends using the posted detour corridor and budgeting extra drive time once the closure phase begins.
