Sam Page says he is closing his tenure as Rockingham County sheriff and continuing his campaign for the North Carolina Senate.
In a statement shared by Star News TV on Aug. 1, Page thanked his family, Sheriff's Office staff, first responders, volunteers and voters. He said he had served seven terms as sheriff and is campaigning in the 26th Senate District, which covers Rockingham and Guilford counties.
The comments are Page's own campaign statement and are presented as such, not as an endorsement. Election information and the certified candidate list should be confirmed through the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
