Roanoke County tax and revenue offices to close Oct. 1-2 for software upgrades

Roanoke County's Treasurer's Office and Commissioner's Office will close for two days next week while the county completes software upgrades.

The offices will be closed Thursday, Oct. 1, and Friday, Oct. 2, 2026. Roanoke County also says its online payment portals will be unavailable during the same period.

Residents who need help can contact the Treasurer's Office at 540-772-2056 or the Commissioner's Office at 540-772-2046. Anyone planning a county payment or account task should account for the temporary service interruption and check the county's notice for updates.

The closure notice was posted by Roanoke County on Sept. 25 and identifies the outage as part of the software-upgrade work.
