Winston-Salem-area residents can connect with county services, employers and family activities Saturday, Sept. 26, when Forsyth County holds its sixth annual Forsyth Fun Fest.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the new Highland Avenue Park, 642 Highland Ave., on the Forsyth County Health and Human Services Campus. Forsyth County describes the event as family-friendly and says free food will be available.
The county's September newsletter lists games, raffles, voter registration, music, children's activities, flu vaccinations, STD testing, fire truck and ambulance tours, a sheriff's vehicle display, and information about county benefits and services. A job fair is also part of the event.
The event is intended to give residents a direct way to learn about county programs while meeting employers and community partners in one location.
