Rockingham County announced the appointment of Mandy McGhee as its new Finance Director, effective August 19, 2024. With a decade of experience in local government, McGhee's background includes significant leadership roles such as Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance for the City of Martinsville. In these positions, she provided crucial budget and financial guidance to both the City Manager and City Council, spearheaded the development of the city’s annual operating and capital budget, and managed key divisions including Accounting, Risk Management, and Purchasing.
“I am honored to step into the role of Finance Director for Rockingham County Government,” McGhee stated. “I am committed to ensuring financial stability, promoting transparency, and driving sustainable growth for our community. By working together, we will build a future grounded in sound financial practices and innovative strategies that serve the best interests of all our residents.”
