**Virginia Beach, VA** – In a heartbreaking turn of events, three siblings, aged 5, 7, and 16 months, were hospitalized following a rollover crash on the DC Beltway. Tragically, the youngest sibling succumbed to her injuries after the incident.
According to the Virginia State Police, the children were abducted from their home after their mother was allegedly stabbed. The crash occurred on Thursday at about 9:05 a.m. on the Outer Loop of Interstate 495 at the Branch Avenue ramp. The driver, identified as 36-year-old Dana Demetrius Plummer, failed to stop when police attempted to pull him over, leading to a high-speed chase that ended with the vehicle losing control.
Plummer has been apprehended and faces multiple serious charges, including:
- Two counts of Aggravated Malicious Wounding
- Three counts of Parental Abduction
- Four counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
- Domestic Assault
The children were taken to the hospital following the crash, and the condition of their mother remains unclear. Prior to the incident, an Amber Alert was issued for the siblings, which has since been canceled.
