Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) responded to a robbery incident that took place in the parking lot of Walmart on Old Forest Road Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 3:52 p.m. when a male suspect approached a victim seated in their vehicle.
The suspect, described as a male with dreadlocks, was wearing a white shirt and dark-colored pants, and was seen carrying a backpack. He demanded money from the victim and, according to LPD, witnesses noted that the suspect reached into his backpack, suggesting he might be armed. The victim complied, handing over $6 in cash.
After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene on foot towards Old Forest Road.
