*October 30, 2024 (MARTINSVILLE, Va.)* — Carter Bank (NASDAQ: CARE), a prominent community bank with branches across Virginia and North Carolina, has launched a refreshed brand identity focused on its core values: the customers and associates that form the heart of the bank.
In conjunction with its 50th anniversary—marking its establishment in Rocky Mount, Va. in 1974—the bank has partnered with branding agency Strum to redesign its logo, color palette, messaging, and key brand elements. Notably, the bank has simplified its name from “Carter Bank & Trust” to “Carter Bank,” a change that reflects how customers prefer to refer to the institution. The new tagline, “Life Lived Full,” emphasizes Carter Bank’s dedication to helping individuals achieve their dreams, regardless of their scale.
“Our refreshed identity showcases what Carter Bank has always stood for,” said CEO Litz Van Dyke. “We remain a local community bank, and this new brand helps us tell that story while enhancing our commitment to fostering relationships for future generations.”
The brand rollout commenced the week of October 21, 2024, with a Brand Reveal Event for associates. A digital launch—including updates to the website, online and mobile banking, and social media—will take place on November 4, 2024. The new branding will first appear at the Bassett-Stanleytown branch, set to open on November 12, with updates to all other branches following in the upcoming months.
