Pulaski, VA – A tragic accident on Monday night has claimed the life of 30-year-old Jose M. Alfaro from Fairlawn. According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Route 114, involving two vehicles.

Authorities reported that Alfaro, driving a Hyundai Elantra, crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Volvo S60. Following the incident, he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Notably, police indicated that Alfaro was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Volvo sustained only minor injuries and was wearing her seatbelt during the accident. The investigation into the crash continues as authorities urge drivers to prioritize safety on the road.
