Guilford Board of Elections schedules Sept. 29 absentee applications meeting

GREENSBORO — The Guilford County Board of Elections is scheduled to meet Tuesday, Sept. 29, for an Absentee Applications Meeting as the county prepares for the 2026 election cycle.

The meeting is set for 2 p.m. in the Bob Shaw Room on the second floor of the Old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St., Greensboro. The board’s official schedule identifies the meeting under North Carolina statutes covering absentee applications.

The county says agendas and memos are typically posted at least an hour before a meeting when they are available. A virtual attendance link is also provided on the Board of Elections meeting page, but residents should check the page before the meeting for access instructions, agenda materials, cancellations or a room change.

People attending in person should allow time for courthouse security screening. The county advises visitors who need an escort to report to the elections office at 301 W. Market St. at least 30 minutes before the meeting; questions can be directed to the elections office at 336-641-3836.
