Triad workforce services move into regional system Oct. 1

Workforce-development services in Greensboro, High Point and Guilford County are scheduled to move into a more connected regional system beginning Oct. 1, 2026, according to the City of Greensboro.

The city says the NCWorks Commission approved a transition that will align Guilford County’s services with the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board. The stated goal is to better match the way residents travel across city and county lines for work, education and training.

City officials say the change is intended to maintain services for current participants while strengthening connections among workers, employers and training providers. People already using workforce programs, and businesses looking for hiring or training support, should watch for updated regional contacts as the transition date approaches.
