Fall festivities brought vibrant community events to Martinsville and Henry and Patrick counties over the weekend, including Stuart's 25th Apple Dumpling Festival featuring food, crafts and a 5K race along the Mayo River Rail Trail.

Vendor spaces filled quickly for the weekend lineup, underscoring strong local interest in the seasonal events. Organizers said the festival drew families from across the region for a day of food, handmade goods and outdoor activity along the trail.

The gatherings filled Saturday's calendar across the three localities as communities leaned into the fall season ahead of Halloween. The weekend capped a busy stretch of festivals, fundraisers and community events across Martinsville and Henry and Patrick counties.
