🌱 LAWLESS GETS LOWE’S TO “STEP IT UP” — AND FINALLY MOW THE GRASS

After weeks of negotiations, Collinsville District Supervisor Chris Lawless says he has finally convinced Lowe’s to do something about the grass leading into its parking lot.

Yes, folks — the grass is getting mowed.

Lawless, who has made “trash and grass” a major focus of his time in office, has been pushing to get the overgrown area near Lowe’s cleaned up.

After weeks of back-and-forth negotiations, Lawless finally got Lowe’s to agree to maintain the grass leading into the store’s parking lot.

That means residents and shoppers may soon be able to approach Lowe’s without wondering whether they're entering a home-improvement store or the beginning of a small agricultural operation.

Lawless has previously taken a hands-on approach to the Collinsville District's appearance, including personally tackling overgrown areas and working to get sidewalks and public spaces cleaned up.

Now, apparently, Lowe’s is stepping up to the mower.

One thing is certain: when the supervisor says “trash and grass,” the grass apparently isn't getting a free pass. 🌱😂
