— Star News producer and Horrorwood creator Charles Roark has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault in connection with an incident reportedly involving the Horrorwood Haunted House approximately one year ago.
Roark disputes the allegations and denies that the incident occurred as described.
“This did not happen! — and why did it take them a year to bring up these charges!” Roark said in his only comment on the matter.
The charges stem from an incident said to have occurred at Horrorwood Haunted House roughly a year before the charges were brought. Questions remain about the circumstances surrounding the allegations and the timing of the charges.
The charges are allegations, and Roark is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Additional details, including the identities of the individuals involved, the specific allegations and the next court date, were not immediately available.
