Two Missing Virginia Teens Found Safe in Georgia — Flock Cameras Help Crack the Case
ROCKY MOUNT, Va. — A missing-person investigation that stretched from Virginia into Georgia ended safely last night after two juveniles were located at a residence in Gainesville, Georgia.
Natalie Castaneda and Rafael De La Cruz were safely located, according to the Office of the Sheriff.
Authorities said the successful search was aided by Flock Safety technology along with extensive coordination between multiple law enforcement agencies working the route from Rocky Mount, Virginia, to Gainesville, Georgia.
In this case, those license-plate-reading cameras apparently did more than just sit there watching traffic.
The technology helped investigators track leads as agencies worked together to locate the two juveniles and bring the investigation to a safe conclusion.
The Office of the Sheriff expressed appreciation to the law enforcement agencies that assisted with the search, saying their cooperation and resources were instrumental in bringing the incident to a safe resolution.
Officials also thanked members of the public who shared information and helped spread the word.
Most importantly, Natalie and Rafael were located safely.
From Rocky Mount to Georgia, this search covered plenty of miles — and apparently, Flock was watching along the way.
