Reidsville Police K9 Curo Getting a New Bulletproof Vest Thanks to Generous Donation

REIDSVILLE, NC — STAR NEWS — One of Reidsville's four-legged crime fighters is getting some important new protection, thanks to a generous donation from a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping police K9s safe.

The Reidsville Police Department's K9 Curo will soon receive a custom-fitted, bullet- and stab-resistant protective vest through the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

The vest is being sponsored through the Survival Armor incentive program and will feature the special message, “Gifted by Vested Interest in K9s and Survival Armor.”

Delivery is expected within approximately ten weeks.

And while K9 Curo may not be able to say thank you, we're pretty sure his fellow officers are grateful to know their four-legged partner will have some extra protection while serving the community.
