Martinsville early voting enters final Saturday window before Aug. 4 primary

Martinsville voters who want to cast an in-person absentee ballot before the Aug. 4, 2026, dual primary have one final Saturday window: the registrar’s office will be open Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Office of Elections and Voter Registration is at 55 W. Church St., Room 122, Martinsville. The city’s official election information lists Saturday, Aug. 1, at 5 p.m. as the deadline for in-person early voting for the dual primary.

Election Day is Tuesday, Aug. 4, with polling places open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters who wait until Election Day must use their assigned precinct, so checking the city’s polling-place information before heading out can prevent a last-minute detour.

The Saturday hours are a practical option for residents who cannot reach the registrar’s office during weekday hours. The official city page also lists the July 24 registration and mailed-ballot deadlines, which have already passed.
