Roanoke free community health fair set Oct. 2 at Elmwood Park

ROANOKE — A free community health fair is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at Elmwood Park, 706 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke.

The City of Roanoke calendar says the event is hosted by the Capt. Sean Grimes PA Student Society at Radford University Carilion. Organizers plan to connect residents with health-care organizations, nonprofits and community resources through educational booths, wellness information, preventive-care resources and referrals to local services.

The listing says the event is family-friendly, free and open to the public. Community partners may also distribute essential health and hygiene items while supplies last.

The event is planned along the Elmwood Park Art Walk. The city listing says no admission fee or ticket is planned, and attendees can speak with health professionals and community partners during the scheduled hours.
