Roanoke early voting remains open Saturday for Aug. 4 primary

Roanoke voters can cast ballots in person Saturday, July 25, as the city’s early-voting schedule continues ahead of the Aug. 4, 2026, primary election.

The City of Roanoke’s elections page lists the Roanoke City Office of Voter Registration and Elections as open for early voting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The office is scheduled to offer the same hours Saturday, Aug. 1, which the city identifies as the final day of early voting for this primary.

Regular weekday early voting began June 18 and is listed as 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The city says voters should use their assigned polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, Aug. 4, when polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The city’s election page also provides links to sample ballots and voter-registration resources.

The deadline to register or update a registration record, and the deadline to request a mailed absentee ballot, was Friday, July 24. Voters with questions about eligibility, assigned polling locations or ballot requirements should check the city’s official election information before traveling.
