Roanoke County moves Hollins Precinct polling place for Aug. 4 primary

Roanoke County voters assigned to Hollins Precinct #206 will use a temporary polling place for the Aug. 4, 2026 primary election.

The county says voting for the precinct will take place at North Roanoke Baptist Church, 6402 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke. The move is tied to upcoming construction at Hollins Library, the precinct’s previous polling location. The church’s main fellowship hall or gymnasium will serve as the voting room, depending on availability and turnout.

The replacement site is about 0.3 miles from Hollins Library on the same side of Peters Creek Road, according to the county notice. North Roanoke Baptist Church is listed as ADA accessible. The county says the relocation is expected to remain in effect until construction at the library is complete.

Voters in Precinct #206 should check their registration and precinct information before heading to the polls and allow extra time to find the temporary entrance. The first election scheduled at the new site is the Aug. 4 primary.
