Residents near Danville Regional Airport may hear increased aircraft activity late Monday, Aug. 17, when a C-130 military transport aircraft is scheduled to conduct practice operations.
The City of Danville says the activity is expected to begin at approximately 11 p.m. and last about an hour. During that period, pilots are expected to complete multiple takeoffs and landings.
Because of the aircraft's size and repeated flight activity, neighborhoods near the airport may experience more noise than usual. The city issued the notice in advance so residents know the activity is planned and not an unexpected event.
The practice operations are expected to conclude around midnight.
