Danville business owners and workforce professionals can register for a two-day Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt workshop scheduled for Sept. 22-23.
The Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism is presenting the training with GENEDGE. The workshop will cover Lean principles, process improvement, the DMAIC framework, root-cause analysis, process mapping and data-based decision-making, with a hands-on simulation included.
The training is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research, 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and the city lists the cost at $375 per participant.
Space is limited. The city says the skills are intended for more than manufacturing and can apply in health care, education, government and other workplaces seeking to reduce delays, defects and inefficiency.
