DANVILLE — The Virginia Department of Transportation is accepting written comments through Oct. 22, 2026, on a possible restriction of through truck traffic along Route 732, also known as Little Creek Road, in Pittsylvania County and the City of Danville.
VDOT describes the proposed restricted section as 1.65 miles, beginning at the intersection of VA Route 360, or Old Richmond Road, and ending at Route 729, or Kentuck Road.
The agency also outlines a potential 6.98-mile alternate truck route. That route would use VA Route 360, Route 41, the US Route 29 interchange, US Route 58 and Route 729 before reconnecting with Route 732.
Written comments may be mailed to the VDOT Halifax Residency Administrator at 5211 Halifax Road, Halifax, VA 24558. The notice describes a proposal under review; it does not announce a final restriction.
