Danville is seeking contractors for a natural-gas facilities extension at the Southern Virginia Megasite at Berry Hill, a city procurement notice that could support future industrial-site infrastructure.
The city’s Invitation for Bid No. IFB-25-26-082 calls for labor, equipment, materials, testing, traffic control, erosion and sediment controls, documentation, cleanup and restoration needed to deliver a complete and operational extension. The project owner is the city’s Water and Gas Division.
Contractors must submit sealed bids by 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, to the Danville Purchasing Department, 427 Patton St., Room 304. Electronic bids may also be submitted through Virginia’s eVA system. The city’s deadline for bidder questions is 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 29.
The bid documents set a planned completion period of 190 calendar days after the notice to proceed. They also require a 5% bid bond and 100% performance and payment bonds. The notice seeks proposals; it does not announce that a contractor has been selected or that construction has begun.
