Guilford County has canceled the regular Board of Commissioners meeting that had been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, in downtown Greensboro.
The county’s official event notice lists the meeting time as 5:30 to 10 p.m. and says simply that the regular meeting has been canceled. The notice does not give a reason for the cancellation.
The meeting had been listed for the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the second floor of the Old County Courthouse, 301 W. Market Street, Greensboro. Residents should not travel to the courthouse for that meeting and should check the county’s events page before making plans around future board meetings.
Guilford County’s broader events calendar lists another Board of Commissioners meeting for Thursday, Sept. 3. That listing should be treated as the next posted date, not a substitute for a new agenda or confirmation from the county.
