Guilford County opens legal support center at Greensboro courthouse

Guilford County has opened a second Legal Support Center, extending the county's court-navigation assistance to the Greensboro Courthouse at 201 S. Eugene St., Room LG60.

The center serves civil court litigants with information about court processes and connections to court-approved resources. It does not handle criminal cases or provide legal advice, so visitors should use it as a starting point for navigating civil matters rather than as a substitute for an attorney.

The Greensboro location is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A High Point location remains open Mondays and Wednesdays at 505 E. Green Drive, Room 140. The county says the High Point center has assisted 272 residents since services began last August.

Guilford County committed $544,000 in ARPA-enabled funding in November 2024 to help move the center from planning to operation. More information is available through the Guilford County Legal Support Center.
