Guilford County property owners can now view and pay their 2026 tax bills online before mailed notices arrive, giving residents an early way to check balances and plan payment.
The county says notices are expected in the mail during the week of Aug. 10. Owners who pay by Monday, Aug. 31, 2026 receive a 1% discount. Bills that remain unpaid after Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2027, are considered delinquent.
Payments can be made through the county's Pay It portal, by phone at 336-203-7795, by mail, through a drop box or at the tax counters at 400 W. Market St. in Greensboro and 325 E. Russell Ave. in High Point. The county notes that electronic payments may carry processing fees.
For fraud protection, Guilford County says it will not call taxpayers for payment unless a bill is delinquent, and tax bills cannot be paid with gift cards. Questions can be directed to the Tax Department at 336-641-3363.
