Greensboro Public Library schedules Books and Blankets reading afternoon Oct. 18

GREENSBORO — Greensboro Public Library is inviting readers to take their books outdoors Sunday afternoon for Books and Blankets: Reading in the Park, scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 18, 2026.

The program is listed at the Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch, 1420 Price Park Road, Greensboro. The event description says participants will read on the lawn of Price Park and spend the afternoon in the company of fellow readers.

People planning to attend can bring whatever makes them comfortable outdoors, including a blanket, chair or other reading-day essentials. The listing presents the program as an in-person afternoon activity and does not publish a separate admission charge.

Because the event is outdoors, readers should check the library or city calendar for any same-day weather or schedule update before leaving. The branch phone listed by Greensboro Public Library is 336-373-2923.
