ROANOKE — Runners, walkers and families will have an autumn option in the Roanoke Valley on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, when the city calendar lists the Spooky Sprint 5K at River’s Edge North and Greenway.
The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at River’s Edge North and Greenway, Roanoke, Virginia 24011. The City of Roanoke describes it as a family-friendly 5K run/walk.
The city calendar provides the date, time and location but does not publish a detailed course map or entry instructions in the listing. People who want to participate should check the event organizer’s registration page for current sign-up details and any updates before traveling to the greenway.
The event gives residents a reason to plan around the Roanoke greenway before the late-October weekend fills with other city activities. Conditions, parking and participant instructions should be confirmed with the organizer as the event approaches.
