Greensboro paving list brings June 15-18 lane impacts

Greensboro drivers have a new weekly paving list to check before using several neighborhood and downtown connector streets.

The city says work scheduled for June 15-18, 2026, will involve alternate lanes or full road closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. as part of Greensboro's 2026 road paving projects. The affected list includes all of Columbus Court, Miami Street, Savannah Court, Hyalyn Court, Prestwood Court, Zornbrook Drive, Charity Court, Hope Valley Lane, Kelly Court, Kelly Road and Mandela Court, along with segments of Savannah Street, Martin Street, Omaha Street and East Montcastle Drive.

Several structure-raising jobs are also listed, including South Eugene Street from West McGee Street to Bellemeade Street, Sternberger Place from Commerce Place to North Eugene Street, Commerce Place from West Friendly Avenue to Bellemeade Street and West February 1 Place from South Greene Street to South Elm Street.

  • What to know: Work windows are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with traffic flow changes possible on each listed street.
  • Who is affected: Neighborhood drivers, delivery routes, downtown visitors and commuters using South Eugene, Commerce Place or February 1 Place.
  • Driver action: Use alternate routes, follow detour signs and obey flagger directions.

Greensboro says work schedules depend on weather, material availability and equipment availability, so drivers should check the city road-project page before assuming a street has reopened.
