Greensboro Historic Preservation Commission meets July 29

Greensboro’s Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St.

The meeting is set for the building’s Plaza Level Conference Room. Residents who follow proposed exterior work in Greensboro’s local historic districts can use the public meeting to track the commission’s review process and any Certificates of Appropriateness on the agenda.

The nine-member commission reviews applications for exterior work in the city’s three local historic districts. The city says regular meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m. unless a schedule entry says otherwise.

Greensboro’s planning department also says a planning intern will update survey information for properties in the local historic districts beginning in July 2026, with photographs and notes taken from public rights-of-way. Residents with questions about the survey work or the commission can use the contact information on the city’s official page.
