Greensboro Women's Equality Day luncheon set for Aug. 26

Greensboro residents can mark Women's Equality Day on Wednesday, Aug. 26, when the city's Commission on the Status of Women hosts its annual luncheon at the Yvonne J. Johnson Event Center at Barber Park.

The program is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. at 1502 Barber Park Drive. The City of Greensboro's July 16, 2026 announcement says tickets are on sale, and the city's event information lists a $35 ticket price.

The luncheon connects a local civic gathering with Women's Equality Day, which recognizes the adoption of the 19th Amendment. The City of Greensboro says this year's keynote speaker is Annette Taylor, chair of the North Carolina Council for Women.
