A newly formed group in Bedford County is organizing against the possibility of data center development in their community.

The group, Bedford Citizens Against Data Centers, held its first meeting Wednesday, drawing residents with questions about how to stop such projects. Organizer Karen Nuzzo said the session showed wide opposition to data centers in the county. Bedford County currently has no plans for a data center.

Residents at the meeting said they want local leaders to listen to constituents on the issue.
