A recall of jalapeno peppers has expanded to include grocery store products over possible salmonella contamination.

NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC, based in Texas, is voluntarily recalling products containing jalapeno peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors. The recall was expanded to cover additional grocery store items due to the potential for salmonella contamination.

Customers are urged to check recall notices and not eat any affected products. Salmonella can cause serious illness, especially in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems.
