— Apparently, Room 16 at the Royal Inn wasn't exactly offering the royal treatment Thursday.
The Reidsville Police Department Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on September 17 at Royal Inn, Room 16, 1631 Freeway Drive, resulting in the seizure of narcotics and drug paraphernalia — and one occupant taking a trip to the courthouse instead of the front desk.
Renda Rainey Riggins, 61, was arrested and charged with:
Felony Possession of Cocaine Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Misdemeanor Assault on a Government Official
Riggins was also served with two criminal summonses charging Assault on a Government Official and Injury to Personal Property.
Riggins was given a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 29, 2026.
Police are reminding residents that the investigation doesn't end with one search warrant.
