Dolly Parton Mourning the Loss of Brother Coy “Denver” Parton at 82

Country music legend Dolly Parton is mourning the death of her brother, Coy “Denver” Parton, who has died at the age of 82.

According to an obituary from Atchley Funeral Home, Parton passed away Thursday in Sevierville, Tennessee. He was known for his work as a crane operator.

A cause of death has not been released.

Coy “Denver” Parton was one of Dolly Parton’s 11 siblings, born into the large Parton family in East Tennessee. Over the years, Dolly has often spoken publicly about the close bond she shared with her family and the influence they had on her life and music career.

Funeral arrangements and additional details have not yet been announced.
