Henry County Sheriff’s Office Joins the Fun at Smith River Fest
HENRY COUNTY, Va. — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office joined families and visitors Saturday for Smith River Fest at the Monogram Foods Smith River Sports Complex, bringing deputies, equipment and plenty of community interaction to the annual event.
The Sheriff’s Office’s Dive Team and Community Engagement Units were on hand, along with deputies from across the agency.
Festival attendees had the opportunity to stop by the Sheriff’s Office booth, meet deputies, check out equipment, ask questions and learn more about the different ways the agency serves Henry County.
Two deputies also participated in the Edible Education Program from 11 a.m. to noon, giving festivalgoers another opportunity to interact with members of law enforcement.
The Sheriff’s Office encouraged families to enjoy the many activities Smith River Fest had to offer while stopping by to say hello.
With the event running until 4 p.m., deputies weren't just keeping an eye on things — they were part of the fun.
