Sheriff Wayne Davis Talks New Virginia Gun Laws at American Legion Post 42

Sheriff Wayne Davis and members of the Henry County Sheriff's Office spent an evening with members of American Legion Pannill Post 42, discussing Virginia's new firearms laws and answering questions from attendees.

The community meeting gave residents an opportunity to learn about recent changes to state firearm laws, ask questions, and hear directly from local law enforcement about how the new laws are being implemented.

The Sheriff's Office said community outreach and education remain an important part of its mission and thanked everyone who attended and participated in the discussion.

The agency also expressed its appreciation to Wright Funeral Service for providing its facilities to host the event.

"We appreciate everyone who came out to learn more, ask thoughtful questions, and take part in the discussion," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

Sheriff Davis and his staff also thanked the members of American Legion Pannill Post 42 for the invitation, saying they look forward to continuing to work together in serving the community.

The event is one of several outreach efforts by the Henry County Sheriff's Office aimed at keeping residents informed about changes in state law while strengthening relationships between law enforcement and the community.
