Three people were injured in a boat crash at Smith Mountain Lake over the weekend, officials say.

Smith Mountain Lake Marine Fire & Rescue responded to the crash Saturday, August 15. Three people were hurt in the collision on the water.

Authorities are reminding boaters to operate carefully and watch for other vessels on the busy summer lake.
