Big Police Presence in Eden: SRT, Armored Vehicle and Tactical Medics Descend on Riverside Circle EDEN, N.C. — Residents around Riverside Circle in Eden may have noticed a serious law enforcement presence Thursday as multiple agencies converged on a home to execute a drug search warrant. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), Narcotics Unit and Criminal Investigations Division are currently at 791 Riverside Circle carrying out the search warrant. The operation also includes personnel from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, which brought an armored vehicle, along with members of Rockingham County Emergency Management Tactical Medics. In other words, this isn't exactly the kind of knock-and-talk where someone shows up, rings the doorbell and asks a few questions. The sheriff’s office said arrests and seizures are expected as a result of the operation. Officials have not yet released details about what investigators are searching for or what has been seized. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said additional information will be released as it becomes available. For now, residents in the area should expect a heavy law enforcement presence while the operation continues.
