Martinsville schedules August night catfish tournament at Beaver Creek Reservoir

Martinsville anglers have another chance to fish after dark when Parks and Recreation holds its next Night Catfish tournament at Beaver Creek Reservoir on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.

The tournament is scheduled for 6 p.m. to midnight. Entry is $10 per person, paid at the gate the night of the event, and the posted prize is a 50/50 cash payout for the largest fish.

Beaver Creek Reservoir is at 450 Redskin Drive in Martinsville. The city describes the 175-acre reservoir as a recreation site for fishing and boating, with a boat ramp, picnic shelter, restrooms and parking. A boat permit is required to launch, and boats may not use gas-powered motors.
