Runners and walkers can take part in the Harvest Moon Run on Friday, Sept. 25, at the Monogram Foods Smith River Sports Complex in Axton.
The event includes 5K, 8K and Ruck options. All races start at 6:30 p.m. near the golf driving range and use the paved Dick & Willie Passage Trail. Packet pickup is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Martinsville YMCA, with additional pickup at the event stage from 5 to 6 p.m.
Organizers say live music and beer will be available after the race. Registration fees listed by the organizer are $30 for the 5K and Ruck and $35 for the 8K, with prices scheduled to increase after Aug. 21 at 11:59 p.m.
