Martinsville July paving list puts seven streets on watch

Martinsville Public Works has released the city's July 2026 street paving schedule, giving drivers and residents an early look at where road work is expected this summer.

The posted list includes Stultz from Purdue to the city limit, Cliff Street from Starling to Cole, Rives Road from the city limit to the tracks, College Street from Market to Chestnut, Franklin Street from Depot to the Commonwealth bridge, and Moss Street from Market to Church.

The city also says Liberty Street is tentatively scheduled for July because of the nature of night paving work. That makes the notice a planning alert rather than a same-day closure notice, but it gives households, businesses, and regular commuters time to watch for later work-zone details.

For the Martinsville and Henry County desk, the list matters because several of the named blocks connect neighborhood, downtown, and bridge-access travel. Drivers should expect the city to refine timing closer to the work window and should watch for crews, cones, and temporary parking or lane impacts once paving begins.
